The collaboration covers the most relevant markets worldwide in Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific. Initial deployments will be in Frankfurt, Washington and Singapore with a roll-out to all 17 ECX markets around the world during 2015.

“The progressive adoption of cloud computing by corporate customers has led to an of evolution of their needs in terms of network infrastructure, thus generating an increasing demand for dedicated high quality and bandwidth efficient network solutions”, says Alessandro Talotta, TI Sparkle CEO. “As a leading global service provider with strong expertise on Cloud we want to be able to support the entire Cloud value chain”.

Through the Equinix Cloud Exchange, TI Sparkle will be able to cater the demands for sophisticated connectivity solutions of:

Corporate Customers that need top performing, secure connectivity solutions to access the more and more sophisticated IT infrastructure and Software/Applications platforms;
Service Providers and System Integrators that need to support their customers with more efficient and higher quality access and transport solutions to Cloud ecosystems;
Cloud Service Providers that require higher quality Internet or private IP access and to expand their geographical reach.
“Many enterprises still have concerns around multi-cloud. Issues such as reliability, data governance and security are still voiced by businesses. Equinix’s Cloud Exchange has been built specifically to address these areas in an intelligent way. It provides superior, scalable interconnection with higher throughput and more security than connecting cloud over the public Internet. By joining Equinix’s Cloud Exchange, TI Sparkle’s customers can now have on-demand direct access to multiple cloud providers simultaneously, and other companies in the ecosystem can take advantage of TI Sparkle’s advanced connectivity offering,” said Chris Sharp, Vice President, Cloud Innovation at Equinix.

Equinix Cloud Exchange brings Cloud Service Providers together with Corporate Customers and Network Service Providers, thus expanding their addressable market.

TI Sparkle will include its own Cloud services portfolio within the ECX ecosystem in the next months while at the same time it is planning to introduce new on-demand/pay-as-you-go advanced connectivity solutions with the aim to add further flexibility and scalability to its current proposition.
