Global Signalling is the basic transport service that enables international roaming (i.e. registration, authentication messages, location update and SMS). TI Sparkle Global Signaling offered primarily to Mobile Network Operators intending to provide GSM global roaming service to their end subscribers’ customer base with the highest possible QoS.
TI Sparkle's Global Signalling service is available in two options: a) SCCP routing of Service, consisting of Transport and Global Title Translation of the SS7 Protocol (tailored on mobile operators’ needs) and b) STP transport only Transit Service (tailored on Operators with limited SS7 reach and on mobile operators running Global Title Translation but needing full networks reach).
The Global Signaling standard offer includes, on top of basic functionalities, some advanced features such as traffic routing by origin and destination, SCCP screening preventing spam attacks and daily/monthly traffic reporting per origin/destination through dedicated web tool. Innovative value added features are also available on request: ITU/ANSI conversion (based on proprietary, fully backed up infrastructure) and SMS Anti Fraud (GSMA IR71 compliant). The overall QoS is guaranteed through SLA with financial credits and through worldwide backup networks. Access Options both through dedicated TDM circuits and Sigtran (IP).
Global Title Translation for ANSI to ANSI roaming is also supported. Customer has to connect in TDM to TI Sparkle POP in Newark (or via any other TIS’ POP in US) or in IP through Sigtran protocol. TI Sparkle will provide the Customer with the list of the POPs via e-mail.
