Value proposition
The Lan2Lan service can be used to interconnect two or more LANs, build a WAN or let customers build a "virtual presence" in selected IXPs and Telehouses without the need to invest and manage a complex network infrastructure.
IP routing is supported by MPLS, thus enabling efficient traffic engineering and differentiated classes of service.
Reliability, carrier-grade performance, with a comprehensive Service Level Agreement guarantees availability, packet delivery and latency.
High scalability to support customer needs.
Customer Care Web-based tool, 24/7 customer support in 5 different languages, Backbone Management performed in NOCs located in Europe and Latin America.
Description
Lan2Lan makes it possible to extend Ethernet technology from a local environment to anywhere in the world using Sparkle IP backbone as a transport layer.
Ethernet over MPLS transport enables point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections throughout the extensive Seabone footprint.
The point-to-multipoint option allows one single port to connect to multiple locations thereby optimizing traffic and infrastructure, and further reducing the total cost of ownership.
Product features
Point-to-point Ethernet connections between two cities in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia Pacific can be implemented with the same simplicity as within a building, using the same widely available and inexpensive Ethernet hardware.
Distance-independent price and usage-based billing options contribute to making Lan2Lan a cost-effective solution.
Lan2Lan service is available at speeds of 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps, and supports Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. Traffic limitation option is available in selected POPs.
Easy to use - with no need for additional WAN protocol layers - offers an enhanced flexibility in terms of configuration scalability and billing options compared to lower - layer transport solutions.
