Telecom Italia Sparkle extends its AWS connectivity service to Israel through its local operations MedNautilus

AWS Direct Connect, supplied through the MedNautilus system, offers a cost effective, reliable, high bandwidth link to AWS Regions directly from Israel

Sparkle and AWS (Amazon Web Services) extend their collaboration to Israel with respect to AWS Direct Connect.
AWS Direct Connect offers cost effective, reliable and advanced connectivity solutions to several AWS regions around the world. In doing so, it provides a one-stop-shop solution for AWS resellers and enterprise customers such as financial institutions as well as public and academic institutions, which typically handle big data workloads and are sensitive to network performances such as round trip delay, data privacy, data security, and data transfer speed.

Within the framework of this collaboration, Sparkle through its MedNautilus and Global Backbone will provide customers with the ability to have a dedicated network connection to AWS facilities as well as a stable and consistent network performance. Commercial offering can be adapted to customer specific needs and complemented with agility and flexibility in the provisioning of transmission capacity.

Harel Ifhar, Regional Manager Israel of Amazon Web Services Israel, said: "While many of our cloud customers use the public internet for data transfer, there are those that prefer to use dedicated private network connection to AWS facilities, and we respond to this need with Sparkle’s communication capabilities. We always look to create new services upon feedback from our customers. Now we expand our provisioning offering based on customer requests".

Doron Sima, CEO Mediterranean Nautilus Israel, said: "AWS Direct Connect by Sparkle from Israel offers an end-to-end disruptive solution securing stability, performance and privacy of the connection from their facility in Israel up to AWS locations. Through our global backbone customers will be offered a flexible solution, tailored to their specific needs for their connection to the AWS cloud”.
