Conclusion of Shore End Activities for BlueMed - BlueRaman in Genoa

🌊 We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the shore end activities for our groundbreaking submarine cable project BlueMed/BlueRaman in Genoa! An unconventional shore-end thanks to our innovative landing platform that have transformed the cable landing experience.

 

 

🚀 The prize winning Genoa Landing Platform (Best Subsea Innovation at Global Carrier Awards 2022) has undoubtedly one specific standout feature: the 1km bore pipe. It is securely buried in the seabed, providing exceptional protection for the cable during its most vulnerable stretch. A scalable plug-in product that can accomodate up to sic additional cable systems, it significantly reduces shore-end activities, taking only 90 minutes instead of the usual three days required by conventional solutions as well as simplifies significantly all administrative and permit related duties.

🌐 Now that the cable has reached our cutting-edge BMH (Beach ManHole), it can confidently proceed through the fronthaul infrastructure. This infrastructure consists of a deeply buried earthquake-proof tunnel that spans over its length, leading all the way to the cable landing station of Genoa Lagaccio.
