MECMA: Gaetano Pollicino of Sparkle appointed as MECMA CMG Chairman

On 20 April Gaetano Pollicino, Responsible of Submarine Cable Division at Sparkle, was appointed by the Mediterranean Cable Maintenance Agreement-MECMA as Chairman of the Contract Management Group-CMG.

A non-profit cooperative cable maintenance agreement, MECMA 2019 is active under the current agreement since January 2019 and up to December 2023. The purpose of the MECMA consortium of carriers is to cater for maintenance and repair of communications and scientific cables laid in the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea and the Red Sea.
