Telecom Italia Sparkle extends Global IP Backbone Seabone in Asia with new IP POP in Hong Kong

Telecom Italia Sparkle, the international services arm of Telecom Italia, is pleased to announce that its Global Internet backbone Seabone latest Point of Presence is now available in Hong Kong, China. 

With this new IP POP TI Sparkle strengthens its IP transit proposition in Asia and consolidates its positioning in South East Asia. In the region TI Sparkle is already a major player in the IP&Data services market through an extensive ownership of capacity in various submarine cable systems, including the upcoming IMEWE connecting India to Italy via the Gulf. 

TI Sparkle’s new IP POP in Honk Kong is connected westbound to Seabone’s European leg via Singapore, and eastbound to the US portion of TI Sparkle’s global IP backbone. This is a truly diversified configuration that allows customers to optimize traffic distribution and to reach any destination through the shortest distance.
