Telecom Italia Sparkle shares own commercial and technological expertise through its Global Satiro Training Program

TI Sparkle, the International Services arm of Telecom Italia Group, is pleased to announce the launch of the Global Satiro Training Program, in conjunction with Telecom Italia’s HR Services.

Evolving from the original Satiro Training program which has offered technical and commercial “know-how transfer” to 95 participants from 18 African carriers over its 10 years of history, Global Satiro Training expands this unique educational program to operators in developing markets of Central and South America, the Middle East, as well as South, Central and East Asia.

The focus of Global Satiro Training is to better equip its participants, through a wide range of learning and networking opportunities, with a clear understanding of the key competencies required to recognize, strategize and successfully respond to the ever-changing environment of the International telecommunications sector.

Two distinct courses are offered, one covering topics such as new generation access, backbone, IP networks as well as advanced wireless technologies, the other focusing on ICT business and marketing management. Each course runs for two weeks and combines both classroom training, organized and delivered through Telecom Italia’s HR Services organization with the support of both TI’s and external telecommunications experts. In addition to specific training-on-the-job sessions, provided by Ti Sparkle’ skilled network and commercial professionals , which complete the program.

“Satiro’s expansion to a wider audience globally is an important step in furthering mutual understanding with our customers from both a technological and a cultural standpoint,” states Riccardo Delleani, CEO of Telecom Italia Sparkle. “As pioneer in running a full IP backbone since 2005 we can offer a unique perspective to Global Satiro participants. Moreover, with an extended portfolio of Voice, Data/IP, Mobile Data and Multinational Corporate services, TI Sparkle’s training provides a multi-faceted program from both a service as well as a commercial viewpoint.”

This 2012 edition of the Global Satiro program welcomes to Rome, Italy, 19 participants from carriers operating in Asia, Central & South America and Africa countries.
