Sparkle Wins “Best European Project” Prize at the Global Carrier Awards
Sparkle stands out as one of the big winners at the telecoms’ largest global industry celebration receiving also the Best Social Media Campaign award

Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top ten global operators, won “Best European Project” and “Best Social Media Campaign” prizes at the Global Carrier Awards (GCA) ceremony held yesterday in London as part of the Capacity Europe 2019 event, and attended by leading industry executives from across the international wholesale carrier community. GCA winners have been selected by an eminent panel of judges from top global research and consultancy firms, trade media and industry associations.
The “Best European Project” award recognizes Sparkle’s top-notch offer providing disaster recovery as-a-service (DRaaS) out of its data center in Catania, Sicily, in collaboration with Nutanix, world leader in enterprise cloud computing. The jury has in fact awarded Sparkle for its unique and reliable hybrid cloud proposition and its benefits for the telecoms marketplace.
“Best Social Media Campaign” acknowledges the effectiveness of the company’s digital corporate identity deployment and its renewed digital communication strategy resulting in a remarkable increase of the follower base and engagement rate.

At their 15th edition, the Global Carrier Awards are the telecoms’ largest global industry celebration that recognizes innovation, vision and excellence across the global wholesale industry. The awards follow the recognitions achieved by Sparkle in 2016 for “Best Marketing Campaign” and in 2014 for “Best OTT Partnership” and “Best Latin American project”.
