Sparkle strengthens its portfolio at NaMex Data Center in Rome

Sparkle complements  current offer for IP Transit Services at NaMeX with new Capacity Solutions

Sparkle, the international service arm of TIM Group and among top 10 global operators, announces the expansion of its European Backbone with a new Point of Presence in Rome, Italy.

Located at NaMeX, a carrier neutral & non-profit Internet Exchange and Interconnection Point, Sparkle’s new POP is ready to serve national and international ISPs and Content Players as well as network operators and their demand for transport solutions, adding to Sparkle’s current proposition for its Tier-1 IP Transit service through its existing Seabone’s  POP in the same site.

Through the enhancement of its backbone in Rome, Sparkle further improves its competitiveness in Europe leveraging on the proximity to Sicily Hub, Sparkle’s open ecosystem and rich marketplace located in Palermo, a crossroad for all international subsea cables connecting Europe to Africa and Asia thanks to its unique position in the Mediterranean.

At the same time Sparkle’s customers will be able to directly connect with the NaMeX IXP community and enjoy the NaMex marketplace.
