Telecom Italia Sparkle, a leading provider of international telecommunication services, and MIX (Milano Internet Exchange), the largest Italian Internet Exchange Point, announced today they have entered into a partnership agreement.
Sparkle has in fact added MIX to the list of destinations it offers through its Virtual NAP service. The addition of TI Sparkle to MIX further enhances the node's service offering to its 70 existing ISP customers and potential new ones. TI Sparkle adds the robust capillarity of its network reach in 5 continents, thus enriching the MIX customer experience.

“We have always paid significant attention to the presence of network providers within MIX. Developing dedicated hosting facilities to accommodate their infrastructures has been a key ingredient in the success of our ISP peering platform”. said Valeria Rossi, COO at MIX. “The presence today of Sparkle and the possibility for our existing and future customers to enjoy its state-of-the-art cross-border connectivity solutions is an important development and strengthens MIX position of international neutral access point.”

“We are happy about the new agreement reached with MIX” said Giuseppe Valentino , Director Product Management IP&Data at Sparkle. “As a global network player with a leading role and a strategic focus on the Mediterranean basin, MEA and AsiaPac regions, we have a keen interest in both supporting the development of the MIX as a key European internet exchange, and promoting the role of Italy as a natural and effective hubbing node for telecommunications"
