Sparkle is preparing to separate from TIM, with ownership transferring to Italy’s Ministry of Economy (70%) and Asterion/Retelit (30%) by summer 2026.
The company, a major European submarine cable operator, plans to expand advanced services in cloud, AI, and cybersecurity, including a partnership with Anthropic.
It operates in 32 countries with over 600,000 km of fiber infrastructure.
New projects include the GreenMed submarine cable in the Adriatic Sea.
