Sparkle Among the Big Winners at the World Communication Awards
Sparkle stands out at the international competition for telecom operators receiving the “Customer Experience Award” and the “Women in Telecoms Award" for Elisabetta Romano

Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top ten global operators, is among the big winners at the World Communication Awards (WCAs) ceremony - held in London within the Total Telecom Congress 2021 to celebrate innovation and excellence in global telecoms – receiving the “Customer Experience Award” and the “Women in Telecoms Award” for its CEO Elisabetta Romano.
The “Customer Experience Award” acknowledges Sparkle’s company-wide CX program deployed across three dimensions - process automation, digital tools and a customer-focused organization - to deliver a delightful customer journey experience. The jury motivated the award praising Sparkle’s approach for being simple, digital, and for delivering strong certified results. This win follows and integrates last year’s “Operator Efficiency” award that recognised Sparkle’s use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
With the “Women in Telecoms Award”, the jury recognized Elisabetta Romano as a widely admired woman for the TLC community, having contributed significantly to the development and transformation of the telecommunications business. “Our winner has spent 30 years working in the telecom industry holding technical and strategic roles in both operators and vendors in Europe and the United States and is also recognised for her part in encouraging equal opportunities in the work environment”, the jury explained. This win follows, a few months later, the recognition achieved at the CC Global Awards 2021 as “Telecommunication Woman of the Year”, confirming once again Elisabetta Romano as one of the most inspirational leaders in the TLC arena.
