Sparkle Achieves ISO 22301 Certification for Business Continuity Management
The certification demonstrates Sparkle’s ability to ensure service continuity and organizational resilience across its global digital infrastructure
Sparkle has obtained ISO 22301:2019 certification for its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), demonstrating compliance with the leading international standard for organizational resilience and business continuity.
The certification confirms Sparkle’s ability to identify and assess operational risks, define continuity and recovery strategies, and coordinate response actions to ensure the delivery of critical telecommunications services in the event of disruptive scenarios.
As the operator of a global network spanning more than 600,000 km of fiber across Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, the Americas and Asia, Sparkle provides mission-critical connectivity services to carriers, enterprises and public sector organizations worldwide. The certified BCMS covers the assurance of optical transport, IP, voice, mobile and data center services, ensuring that essential operations can be maintained and restored through coordinated incident and crisis management processes.
The implementation of the BCMS involved the entire organization, establishing clear roles and responsibilities and fostering a coordinated, company-wide approach to business continuity and crisis response. The certification process included a comprehensive business impact analysis, risk assessment, continuity planning, internal gap analysis and verification activities, followed by independent external audits conducted by the certification body.
The Business Continuity Management System also supports the regular review and continuous improvement of continuity plans and procedures, helping Sparkle maintain its preparedness as risks and disruptive scenarios evolve.
